Aunt Sally's is a relatively young business set up late in 2004. It specialises in traditional homemade cakes, chutneys, jams and honey which is supplied to local village shops, farm shops and retailed at some farmers markets and shows.

Aunt Sally (Sally Sherwood) has over 20 years experience in the catering business, managing and cooking in a large tearooms in Surrey as well as making cakes there for the wholesale market.
Sally and her partner Chris Jeffery decided to make a new start and moved to Somerset where they bought a small dilapidated farm, which they have spent the last four years restoring, although there is still work in progress. One priority was to repair and convert the old disused and redundant milking parlour into a proper catering kitchen that would comply with all the relevant health and hygiene requirements.
As well as the everyday cakes and produce Sally makes bespoke wedding and celebration cakes as well as catering for functions, including bar facilities and the hire of equipment, crockery, cutlery etc.
Chris when he is not continuing with more building work on the house, oversees the sales and deliveries, along with growing fruit and vegetables on their land, for use in the cakes and chutneys. He is also a bee keeper with around 14 hives producing the honey.

Aunt Sally's believes in using only the best, natural and wherever possible local produce in their products. The wholemeal flour comes from one of the only working mills in Somerset, the eggs are all free range and come from a local flock and the dairy produce from a local farm. We feel that a local product benifits from the use of local ingredients.
Delivery costs for those special one off items such as wedding cakes and non local deliveries can be individually quoted for and Chris will be happy to discuss this with you and make the necessary arrangements.
