During the exceptionaly hot summer of 2006 ths BBC decided to film a television programe called the National Village show it was judged and presented by Gardener presenter and author Alan Tidmarsh and celebrty chef and presentor James Martin.
So it was that On Sunday August the 6th the BBC descended on Montacute house in the town of Montacute just outside of Yeovil, for the southwest regional heat Sally Sherwood proprietor and baker from Aunt Sally's Cakes decide to enter the competition
Sally entered two classes: Class 10 the Rich fruit cake and class 11 Decorated novelty cake Sally was succesful winning both classe she entered.
Sally has now recivied her invatation to represent the south west in the national final at Highgrove House on October the 2nd 2006 and is currently working feverishly on her enteries..
